 Mudlake Bottoms is a 138 acre property located approximately 35 minutes from
downtown Memphis in Lee County, Arkansas. Highway 79 is just east of the
property, and Hughes, Arkansas, is approximately 5 miles north (see attached
maps). Mudlake Bottoms adjoins the Mud Lake property.
In addition to approximately 20 acres of woods and flooded cypress bottoms
adjoining Mud Lake, the remaining property is enrolled in conservation programs
focused on wildlife (particularly ducks, wild quail, dove, and deer) habitat. The remaining acreage is a combination of cypress and green
timber.
A well riser, levees, pipes, and water control structures have been installed
which allow the property to hold additional water during duck season. The
flooded fields contain two pits and a willow line. Electric power is at the
property line.
Mudlake Bottoms currently provides opportunities for hunting ducks, wild
quail, dove, deer;
and turkey. Duck hunting has occurred in the flooded fields and two woods holes.
Several prominent duck clubs (including Mud Lake) either adjoin or are in the
immediate vicinity of Mudlake Bottoms. The St. Francis River and Mississippi River
are in the immediate flyway of this property. Wild quail are abundant
throughout the property.
